Bruce Bodson

Board Member

Bruce Bodson has been involved in environmental matters for nearly 35 years, as a scientist, consultant, attorney and academic. He is an environmental attorney and scientist in private practice, focusing on matters related to land and water conservation. He has been involved in conservation nonprofits in the Texas Gulf Coast region for over 20 years and has served as a board member of the Gulf Coast Bird Observatory and as a board member and Lands Committee Chair for the Bayou Land Conservancy. Mr. Bodson also serves as adjunct faculty for Texas A&M University at Galveston, where he teaches Environmental Impact Analysis and Environmental Policy for the graduate program in Marine Resources Management. He earned his JD from South Texas College of Law, his MS in Environmental Science from University of Texas at Dallas, and his BS in Fisheries Biology from the University of Arizona at Tucson. He is and avid birder, kayaker and kayak racer and is constantly exploring the Texas bays and rivers.

His concern for conservation is also expressed by teaching Environmental Impact Analysis and Environmental Policy for the graduate program in Marine Resources Management at Texas A&M University, Galveston, where he is adjunct faculty and a Fellow of the Integrated Coastal and Marine Laboratory. Bruce earned his JD from South Texas College of Law, his MS in Environmental Science from University of Texas at Dallas, and his BS in Fisheries Biology from the University of Arizona at Tucson. An avid birder, kayaker and kayak racer, Bruce is constantly exploring Texas bays and rivers.
